    Default OT - Nursery mural

This isn't scrapbooking related but I figured I'd share anyways. I have been MIA lately because DH and I just bought our first house and we have been doing quite a bit of work on it. Every room is getting painted and refloored while the kitchen has been completely gutted out to the exterior wall including floor and ceiling and being redone. I have to try to take it easy being full term and all but its easy to get carried away. Not much time to scrapbook but I have been taking lots of pictures so I will have plenty of material later on. Also I "accidentally" spent $50 on scrapbooking stuff when I stopped at Michaels the other day, oops.
Saturday and Sunday my mom and I worked on a mural for the baby's room and we are finally done. Here are two pics of it, they are thumbnails incase you want to see the big version. The red/orange carpet in the room will be replaced this week and then I can get going on the rest of the nursery. Also, the small spots in the pictures are from dust on the camera lens.

The mural was painted by hand and I did draw the concept myself though I had some great inspiration. Originally I was going to paint a window looking out into a jungle scene and while googling for inspiration I found this:

I loved it and ran with it. Mine is a little simpler than the inspiration but I like that it is more cartoony for a nursery.
