Default OT - Prayers for Eli....surgery tomorrow

Eli is having another surgery tomorrow morning. (his 4th one in his short 2 years of life) They are doing a scar revision on his lip and nose and replacing the tubes in his ears.

It's an out-patient, so we'll be home the same day. Also, please pray for me that I don't break down when they take him from me. He is getting old enough to where he understands that when these doctors take him, he will hurt. I anticipate this being the worst surgery, not the procedure but because he is at the age that he is begining to understand. I anticipate he will scream his head off.

Oh poor guy! We will pray that the surgery is fast and easy and that he recovers well! Its harder on the mommas than it is on the kids I think We'll be thinking about you! Big hugs!

Oh no. I'll be praying for both of you that recovery goes easily and quickly and that it won't be so difficult for the doctors to take him away.

I'll be keeping him in my prayers Liz. {{{{hugs}}} to you. Please know God is in control of the surgeon's hands and I'll pray for Him to give little Eli peace. Let us know how it goes ok?

Both of you are in my prayers. It is so heartwrenching to have a child go through surgery. I've only had to go through it once (pyloric stenosis). I can't imagine 4 times. Poor handsome little dude.

Definitely praying! Kids are resilient, he'll be fine even though he will remember it. (Jordan was hospitalized at the same age, and had some procedures done - she remembered for a long time, but bounced back so quick!). ((HUGS)) to you!

I will pray for him for sure! Can they give him something when they take him from you? When Jazz had surgery years ago they gave her something and she was smiling and laughing as they took her. It made it a ton easier on me.

Yeah they will give him something about an hour before he goes in for surgery. It relaxes him, but he still gets upset. I'm hoping one of the nurses he likes is there tomorrow. She is really good with him, and he lvoers her.
