Photo editing software

I am interested in purchasing some photo editing software. I do paper scrapbooking and would love to tweak some of my pics or maybe do some fun digital siggys. Anyway, I am curious about what all of you ladies use and what it does for you exactly. Also, money is a factor so if you could give me an approximate cost.

Welcome! I use Google's Picasa for small tweaking (turning to black and white/sepia, contrast and color correction, red eye, etc. - it's FREE): http://picasa.google.com/ and Ulead's Photo Impact (more for digital scrapping, working with layers and elements, etc.): http://www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm - it's $89.99. I like them both!

I'd be willing to bet a lot of ladies here use Adobe Photoshop Elements, which is similar to Ulead's Photo Impact: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelwin/ It's $99.99 and I suppose it depends upon how comfortable you are with using the software and how much that $10 price difference matters to you.

I use Microsoft Picture It! 7.0. It is not the greatest program, but I am able to make photos b&w, sepia, and crop and all that good stuff. I also digi scrap with this program.
