Picture It and templates

Okay... I know there are other folks out there who digi scrap using Picture It. Can anyone help me learn how to use templates in this program? I downloaded Trina's and the only thing I can do is make all of the squares the same. :help:

Carrie I use picture it but I 'm not sure what you mean by make all the squares the same? I just put the template into my page and then place the picture over top of the square on the template.

Sorry, I don't know how to use Picture It ...

I could put them in individual PNG files, that might work better?

Well, on the template I want to use there are lots of little squares. I want to use a different paper to fill each square. I tried "fill with picture" but it just puts one picture behind the whole other picture - all of the squares are the same. Does that make any more sense?

OK I just went into it I've never done it that way but it does the same thing to me... I just did it as a collage and layed the pictures etc... over the template

If all the squares are the same piece, you can just cut them apart by using the cutting tool to cut out each piece individually before filling with the papers you want. Hopefully you are using the .png files rather than a photoshop template. You can also use the color selector and choose for it to only select connected pieces. Hopefully that makes sense. I'll be gone until Sunday, but if you have questions feel free to PM me, I use lots of templates.

Looks like you need them in png form, I'll do that today and post the link here when I do it.

Ok, sorry it took so long, it took longer than I expected to save them as individual PNG ...

I kinda messed up, I numbered these backwards - so layer 1 should be the the background, and layer 32 is actually your photo, should go on top (sorry!) ... you should be able to open these, Select all (Ctrl-A), paste onto your new 12x12 document (you have to do each one individually), then they'll all be on their own layers and it should be easy to fill them with paper or photo or whatever - I don't use Picture it, but that's how you do it in digital image pro, so hopefully it'll work! Let me know if works, can't wait to see what you create with it!!

Here's the link to the zip folder with all the individual PNG files:

okay, since I was off having a baby, I missed the original template, and I'm running short on time to go looking for it. if someone could post the link to the thread with the template, I'd love to see it. I'm a Picture It user, so I'm downloading the png files right now for kicks. Wink

thanks!
