    Default Printing photo collage? Help!

I think I read on here before about someone arranging four photos as a collage or whatever to have them all printed on one 4x6...Gwen was that you? I dunno. Anyway, if anyone knows how to do this, could you help me out? I tried to do this with some pictures I wanted to use for a LO and when I got them Lindsay's head was cut off of some of them. I'm not sure why because it looked okay on the screen. ??? I am clueless on how to fix it. Any suggestions?

P.S. Sorry I have been MIA so much! We've hardly been home and when we have been I've been crazy busy. I've been lurking, though, and I'm off to go catch up a little right now!

Okay, here is what I'm thinking...you know when you order pics and you can have the size adjusted because they were taken with a digital camera? Well, they are not being recognized as digital pics because I am altering the files. I just tried to order them again and I can't even find an option for the digital-sized prints, I guess since they don't "think" I'm ordering any. So any ideas on how to get around that?

What program are you using to create the collage and what printing service are you using?

I know that vistaprint has a downloadable template that you can use that shows the actual size of the print area.

I used Walgreens when creating my collages so that I'd have smaller pics. I was able to view the collage before printing to make sure all the photos where the right size.

What site are you using to do so?

I ordered the pics from Snapfish, but I had edited the pictures together using Photostudio first. Hmmm...can I just make the collage somehow on Snapfish? I never noticed where you could do that, but I never really looked for it either! Off to check it out...

I've been MIA lately (I'm actually out of town right now, back Sunday night) so I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier.

Here's what I do, and it's foolproof - I use Picasa (it's free, from Google, try it!) and I select two photos for a 4x6 and then I click "create collage". It allows me to designate the final size, and I choose 4x6. The final result is a 4x6 aspect photo with my two pictures. I do four on a 5x7. Then I upload to Costco and pick them up. Comes out perfect.

Try Picasa. I don't use it for all of my editing, but it is a GREAT program to do a lot of things.

Ok, thanks, Gwen!!!! I'll try that. I actually already have Picassa on my computer but I haven't been too adventurous in trying out all of its features. I pretty much just use it for fixing redeye and lighting and stuff like that. I never noticed the create collage button but I'm sure it is right there in front of my face. LOL. I'll check it out!

Are you talking about creating wallets? Costco will automatically create 4 wallets on a 5x7 when you order them, so you don't have to do anything, just order the wallets.

    Well, kinda...

I'm just sort of experimenting, I guess. I never get wallets because you pay so much more per picture that way. (And I am CHEAP!!!!) I was thinking that I could find a way around that by doing it myself and then just trimming them out of a 4x6. I don't know if I even know what I'm talking about, LOL. Just playing around!
