Yeppers - I's a reader Smile

I love mystery-type books, with a bit of romance thrown in. Not Harlequin type, but some romance in the mystery books Smile I love John Grisham, JD Robb, the Twlight series, Harry Potter series (although I was late getting into both of those series!). I also like some funny ones - like Sheila O'Flannagan (Irish Writer), Jen Lancaster and Sophie Kinsella

oh my goodness yes. Reading is my favorite thing other than scrapping. I love a lot of different kinds of books. I love Dean Koontz. He is one of my favorites! I also love Lori Wick, a Christian romance type author), Rebecca Wells ( She wrote the divine secrets of the ya-ya sisterhood) Jodi Picoult, V.C. Andrews, Orson Scott Card, Robert Jordan. I read the Twilight books, and thought they were okay, but I probably won't reread those. I have read the Harry Potter books at least a dozen times. I love reading. My "to read" list is huge. I also like mystery type books, but I haven't read a lot of those. I need to try some new mystery authors. I have read most everything by Mary Higgins Clark and enjoyed almost all of those.

I always have an in progress book.

I listen to half of them as audio books while I ChaCha or scrapbook, if dh is home with me to help with the kids. The other half I read on my iPod now. Its so much more convenient than trying to hold a book and a kid at the same time. lol.

Yes, I'm a huge reader. I love Austin and L'Engle and Lewis. I liked Lori Wick until her last couple of series. Janette Oke, Orson Scott Card.

I like some types of sci fi, time travelling, some religious (fiction and doctrinal), some classics, fantasy, some romances (but I'm very picky here). I'm very much a fiction girl for the most part. I have too much non-fiction in my normal life and my husband's work. LOL

I can be picky, but I read a lot. There is always a book on my nightstand and our house has literally around 10,000 books in it between pleasure reading, children's books and theological books.

Love reading (and so do the kids!)
I like John Grisham, Mary Higgins Clark, Jannette Oke, Traci Peterson, Jodi Picoult...I will try just about anything.
I always have a book going (or two) right now I am reading more informational books, but I just got done reading a 4 book series for fun.

Oh yes, I love to read!

Right now I am reading the Scarpetta novels by Patricia Cornwell (I heard recently Angelina Jolie may be playing the part of her in a movie!)

I love mystery novels, and romantic ones like Nicholas Sparks (not the Harlequin type).

I love Karen Kingsbury. I love the Twilight series, read all 4 books in less than a week!

I also like to read non-fiction. I recently read It's All About Him by Denise Jackson (Alan Jackson's wife) and really enjoyed it.

I do love to read normally...I don't find myself reading much these days...I think because we read so many kids books for daycare I am all read out. lol. The only books I have been signing out of the library for myself lately are crafty books or pregnancy books...and no, I'm not pregnant. Just wishful thinking. lol

Yep, I am a reader for sure!! I find it interesting that most of us have read books by both Jodi Picoult and Stephanie Meyer. I read Stephen King, Torie Hayden, Robin Jarvis, and Brian Jacques just to name a few. I like fantasy, sci-fi, horror, drama, all fiction.

My reading goes in spurts. When I'm enjoying reading I like drama...cop type mysteries. If the book doesn't draw me in in the first few chapters then I can't read it.

Kebrina - if you like cop type ones, try JD Robb - In Death series. It's about a cop in the future (2059) trying to solve murders. I'm addicted to them. Smile

You should also try the Scarpetta series by Patricia Cornwell. Kay Scarpetta is the chief medical examiner of Virginia and works closely with Marino (a cop) to solve murders. They really keep you reading to find out what happens!

As a teenager I always had a book in my face! Now I find I don't have as much time to read...go figure. Haha.

I've read a lot of Lori Wick/Karen Kingsbury/Beverly Lewis - I enjoy those story lines and pretty easy, fast reads.

Most recently I've read some of the Janet Evanovich books - the Stephanie Plum detective series is seriously, LOL funny...some romance...more innuendo than anything but definitely good for a chuckle.

I've gone through stages of reading all John Grisham, all Mary Higgins Clark, all Nicholas Sparks, etc...haven't read any of their most recent things though.

I also really like regional writers (NC/SC) - Pat Conroy, Ann Tyler, Ann Rivers Siddons, CHarles Frazier (Cold Mountain was fantastic...Frazier's second book, not so much, IMO).

Oh yeah, and I loved the YaYa books, too!

Hmm, now I want to read! Smile

I am a huge reader. Lets see. the authors I have a lot of are Mary Higgins Clark. Danielle Steele, Nora Roberts, Stephanie meyers. and then I have others but those are the ones that come to mind. I like books that are easy to start and stop because trying to find time to read is sometimes hard.

But I am always looking for new authors so I am going to have to check out some that are mentioned in this thread.

Wow, am I the odd ball! I do not like to read!! I was never a big fan of reading as a child, and I don't really care for it now either. I have so much going on with my life with my family, job, and my hobbies that I wouldn't have time in the day to open one.

I love to ready but find it hard to find stuff I like. I think my favourite by far is the Twilight series (I've read it 3 times and could still reread it again). I just started reading the Vampire diaries and like them but other than that I don't find a lot of time to read.

I LOVE to read ... but I never do. I just don't have the time. My latest reading has been child psychology stuff to help me with Andrew ... but that's not what I WANT to read.

I'm a huge fan of Harry Potter, LOVE the LOTR series - that kind of stuff is right up my alley. And I used to read Stephen King all of the time (now it's been years since I've touched one of his). But I love other books too. Nicholas Sparks is good (I've read 1-2 by him).
