QOTD ~ Thursday

Would you rather ...

have dirty dishes on the counter or dirty dishes in the sink?

I have to have one side of the sink clear at all times so that I can use the faucet. So I'm kind of both -- I prefer them in the sink since we have limited counter space, but if it means I don't have room to run the faucet they go on the counter.

Exactly the same way here. This is currently on display in my house.

Neither!!!!! I can't stand dishes in the sink. The only time I have them in the sinking is in the middle of me cooking and I try to rinse them and put them in the dishwasher as I go.

OH TO BE OCD LIKE ME!!!!! Lol

My oldest does dishes, otherwise I'd be just like you Kelly. Smile I too have to have one side clean though, so if the dishes side is full, they go on the counter, otherwise in the sink. And boy oh boy does my son know how to clean the sink when he's done too. Lol

Ummmm...I don't know DH does the dishes and keeps up with that...As a matter of fact I called him this AM to ask if the dishwasher was clean or dirty

But really I think he likes them in the sink but never says anything when I leave them on the counter,.

I prefer them to be in the sink cuz we don't have very much counter space. But really I prefer them to be clean (DH does dishes) so we are trying to put them in the dishwasher as they get dirty cuz I also hate not being able to use the sink cuz its full.

I hate doing dishes, so can I answer no where:) We have a dishwasher, so that's preferred. We have very limited counterspace, so they usually end up in the sink.

i hate doing dishes.... but unfortunately we're in a catch 22.... we have an apt with only a single basin sink so it fills up fast also with very little counter space. good thing we're trying to get out of here asap and into a house.

also we only have a 2 washers and 2 dryers between the 4 buildings so i tend to wait and do laundry and my parents. which definitely can't happen with a newborn.

Argh the chaos that is my life right now.

My ideal situation is that I like to do laundry alot and hate to do dishes but love the dishwasher. So my ideal situation would be all the dishes clean or in the dishwasher and doing laundry.

I could have written that myself, except that I do have enough counter space.

In the dishwasher Smile If they're not in the dishwasher, they're strewn about the house lol. If I had to pick though, in the sink.

Dirty dishes don't last long in my house because it's a huge pet peeve of mine to have dirty dishes, but I definitely prefer the sink. I hate cluttered countertops. It drives me crazy. Smile

in the sink, I don't like seeing them on the counter.

and that reminds me, I have to do today's dishes. because what I really hate is waking up to a sink full of dirty dishes. they all have to be done before bed.

I asked this qotd once on another board and everyone disagreed with me, but I HAVE to have the sink clean. I would rather the counter be piled to the ceiling as long as the inside is clean so I can wash my hands or fill a cup if I want to.

We lived in an apt with no washer/dryer for Jamie's first year. It was rough, but we managed. You will just need to get a lot of extra's for stuff you will use a lot of, so they last till laundry day. We had so many onsies and burp rags it was insane. I also got handy at washing stains in the sink lol.
