Question about albums

I haven't bought an album yet because well I am not quite sure on what to buy. There are so many different choices out there. What are the differences between them? and which ones are better than others in your opinion? Thanks in advance!

I started with post-bound, but discovered 3-ring binders shortly after and have stuck with them. I love that I can add and remove pages whenever I'd like and put a lot of pages in one album. 3-ring is what I prefer!

I use 3 ring binders too because I like that I dont have to take it all apart to add pages. I actually use regular school binders because I scrap 8.5x11. I just buy big pretty 3 ring binders from the school supply part of walmart.

crap all my pages are 12x12...I originally thought I wanted a 3 ring binder because i wanted to create the front and back of the binder but I can't seem to find them anywhere, at least not in the 12x12.

I use 12x12 post bound. They are a pain to get the pages in and out, but I don't do it that often and I think they are prettier.

I use 3 ring binders too. I have 1 12x12 one it's by American Crafts. I got it at a local scrap store.

I also have some 8.5 x 11 American Crafts ones and have lately been buying the school ones because they're so much cheaper!

I use post bound ones too cause I like all the different covers. I try not to rearrange them too much.

Thanks for the link Charys! I have been looking for better albums and I remember you mentioning 3-ring binders! I used to use post-bound, but WHAT A PAIN! I am using a snap one right now.

I'm totally considering 3 ring. Right now I have 4 post bound in progress, and they are getting so full I need to get more. I think it is time I adjusted to 3 ring.

Tell me this....3 ring seems like it will hold a LOT more pages than post bound. I know I can add more posts, but when you do that it gets sloppy...doesn't hold tight and solid ya know?

While I like the idea of a three ring binder, to add to do pages as I please, I try to do them in chronological order so I have a sense of time of when things happened. If I do them later I know I won't remeber if we went to the park in July or March or whenever. I do try to keep my scrapping up and not get more than a few months behind because I know I will tend to go overboard if I don't, and I also know that I won't remember certain details if I choose to Journal like I did on his Santa Page.

Thanks so much for the links! I think I am going to go with the 3 ring, I like the idea of being able to add as much as I want since I'm really not sure how many pages his first book will be, I just do as I want. Plus it looks like the 3 ring is alot easier to remove and add then post bound anyways. Thanks so much for the suggestions ladies. Smile

I'm a post bound girl too, and I love the K&K albums. I wait for a 50% off coupon before I buy them. Rearranging is a pain, but I wait until I'm completely done the album to do that (I do my books by year - the baby books are chronological so no rearranging them. But I only do a first year book).

I love the post bound top loading page albums. I don't think it is too big of a pain to rearrange pages since you just slip them in and out from the top and adding pages is actually easier than I had thought it would be.
