Organization! How do you ladies keep your scrapbooking materials organized? Do you use a specific organizer? If so, which one and why do you like it? I'm trying to get my items more organized and I have no clue what to do, lol.
Good question, I am interested in knowing what others use also. I did just buy a 3 drawer wood shelf-type thing from Target to hold all my 12X12 paper in it. I would like to get another one also, they stack on top of each other. I never did have a scrapbook area before, I do now since I cleaned out my master bedroom closet and put a 4 ft table in there and there are a ton of shelves to store my supplies on, I just need to figure out how to store my other things besides the paper. I do have a suitcase that I use for crops and most of my stuff is just sitting in there for now.
I've been keeping a lot of my stuff in shoe boxes, but it's really so disorganized that it's taken over certain areas in my house! I'm planning to get a plastic rolling organizer from Wal-mart today. It's in the aisle with all the tupperware storage stuff. It's got maybe 5-7 drawers in it. I figured the wheels would help because then it will be easy to move wherever I'm scrapping. I'm not sure it will be big enough to store my 12x12 paper, so I'll have to figure something out for that.

Go through this thread where we share our storage/play areas for more ideas! HTH!
Organization- what's that!? The funny thing is, I just organized my space, and it's a disaster already. Randall is working on getting me a room upstairs. He has to clean it b/c I get sick if I do it so.....it'll probably be years from now!

I have all my paper in these 12x12 plastic boxes theres 3 drawers to each one, I got mine at walmart but joann's, target carry them, walmart was the cheapest. Then I have misc plastic boxes, I have shoeboxes, small flip top boxes, med flip top boxes, I've organized all my eyelets and brads in a spinning spice jar rack, I also use a big three drawer rolling cart and a smaller one. If you go to the thread mentioned above I have pictures on there.
ok i don't have pics posted on that post just yet but this is what i do.
like one of the previous posts said i have 2 of the 3 drawer 12x12 plastic organizers (got them from target on sale) in those i have colored cardstock arranged by roygbiv in one drawer and the natural colors (kraft paper, browns, tans, white, and black) in another. i then have patterned paper in another drawer. But the patterned paper will soon be divided into categories once I buy another 3 drawer or something else. In another drawer I have all my spools of ribbon in a grid like setup. In another drawer i have all my ink pads and another all my stamps that i currently have. in an empty wipe case i have all my scissors (fiskars etc), and another one holds all my pens & pencils right now. Another holds all my adhesives currently. Then I have a portable 8 1/2 x 11 filing thing that holds the 8 1/2 x 11 patterned papers in their correct categories (i scrap 12x12 but sometimes use some 8 1/2x11 papers on the 12x12s. i then have 1 binder full of scrapbooking inspiration ideas and templates (can't think of the right word at the moment). another binder with the baseball card/sport card plastic sheets inside with a pocket for each letter of the alphabet and number and punctuation mark. and two binders worth of stickers that i have divided by category into plastic page protectors. Another 2 binders worth of chipboard (from the chipboard bucket at walmart great deal), one has chipboard divided by category and in the sports pages and the other has chipboard divided by category in the plastic page protectors. pictures are in the different photo boxes depending on category (and divided inside w the dividers). i currently don't have too many brads, snaps or eyelets so i have them in a medicine/pill organizer if they didn't already come in the cool click together containers that some do at michaels.
wow well that was alot of typing. i think i'm going to try and take pics this week and post them.
