Question about Older Photos

While back home, I went thru my mom's old photos to get some baby pictures out. I ended up finding her little photo album of pictures from when I was a baby. She kept saying how she should scrapbook them. I know she'll never have the time, so I brought them home with me. I will end up bribing the DH to scan them for me, so I'll have a copy. Here is my question:

I'd like to scrapbook the photos for her. We'll be back there on her birthday, and this would be a killer b-day gift for her. This photos are 25 years old, so is there any special things I need to do with them. I doubt I'll cut them in anyway, just probably frame them in on the pages.

Thanks in advanced!

I don't have any input since I'm not much of a paper scrapper, but I think this will be a wonderful gift for her!

I would actually scan them and make copies of them and then scrap the copies and not do anything with the originals.

Ditto! I'm not sure why, LOL, but that's what I would do!

Yep. I'd keep the originals, just to look back on, and scrap the copies! She is going to LOVE it! Biggrin

Great idea! As the girls said, just make copies, so if you mess one of them up, it's not a big deal. Sometimes I will accidentally get a little glue on the photo or something, so I wouldn't want to take that chance with a priceless photograph.

I agree. This way if you make a mistake, you can always have another printed. I scrapped with some of my folks old pictures and made them look better in a photo program first (a lot were pretty yellowed)

For example, this was before

And this was after.

The flash is still horrible, but it looks much better IMO.

The new picture sure does look better than the original yellowed one!

I agree with pp - don't use the originals ... and Carrie I love what you did with that pic!
