question about possible layout

okay so I'm making a daycare scrapbook....just a little background...it isn't FOR the kids, it's for Wayne and I as a momento and I show the kids each page...

We took them on a fieldtrip on the bus today to pick out a goldfish each and name it, keeping it as a daycare pet...they really earned it using a rewards chart shaped like a fish I made. lol.
I have taken a close up of each of their goldfish as they are surprisingly different (well, after staring at them for a bit LOL)

My question is...do you think I'm going overboard by doing a couple page layout showing each of their fish? Is that just sad? LMAO. You can be honest. Wayne sure was Wink

Your saying a double LO of the kids and their fish? I don't think that's going overboard! Or were you saying a couple pages for each kid?

oh no no lol. A double layout or something total...maybe 3 pages needed... I was more asking if the idea of scrapping goldfish was lame. lol

One 2-page layout of the memories of the kids and their fish is not going overboard at all to me, because to me that's a fun memory for you guys. But....if you are talking about each kid getting a 2-page layout that might be a bit much! Smile

Very cute memory to scrap and if you can do it, go for it. I don't think anyone has ever scrapped something and then regretted it.

Yep, I would definitely scrap it then! Not going overboard at all.

well, I wouldn't do more than two pages for it. Wink

what you could do to maximize the photos is to do wallets. I use Picasa to create a collage of four photos in 5x7 size and then have that printed at Costco - so it's just 39 cents for the four individual wallets (instead of getting wallet sheets of each photo). you can do so much with the wallets on layouts! and if you haven't used Picasa for any photo editing, you're missing out, it rocks!!!! (it's by Google)

Gwen, what a great idea and that is so much cheaper than paying 1$ per wallet.

Karen, I think it is cute to scrap that Smile

I personally can't wait to see it. It's a wonderful memory and you'd be doing what you love to do by preserving it. Smile

GAH! Why have I never thought of that?!?!?!? I always want wallets but I can't bring myself to order a sheet of them for a dollar when I really only want the one copy! Gwen you are my hero...

Karen, I would definitely do a LO. That is a cute memory for you and your daycare kiddos!

I personally think that any memory you decide to scrap, 1 page or 15 is not overboard lol. I have a HUGE book for my daycare kids and some of the pages are about pretty silly things. lol.

I think it would be cute...maybe with some journaling about what the kids say about their fish.
