Default Question for Picture It users

So I love my new Picture It program!!! I want to print some of my pages. When you submit your pages for printing can you leave them in the .png format or do you first save them to .jpg? The last program I had I used .jpg to order prints of my pages.

    Thanks much

You want them to be in .jpg for most sites, so I always save them in both formats on my computer. Uploading is always faster with .jpg anyway so it is better overall, but you want .png saved incase you need to change something. You want them to be 300dpi.

Sorry, you question got lost during the challenge, I'm glad I happened to see it today.

I don't use picture it, but I do send them for printing, and I always change them to .jpg first, at 300 ppi. HTH!

I have no idea how to change it to 300 dpi, but I can say that I always saved mine as a png, and a jpg.....when I had it..

go to change page then select page size and there's an option for the DPI there. (at least that's how in my Picture It 2002)

and you have to do jpg for print, for some reason my Picture It doesn't save the right size as png (like when I open it it in something else, it's 500x500 instead of 3600x3600)

To change the size, you have to go to Format > Resize Image. Set it to 12x12, 3600 x 3600 and 300 dpi.
