Default A Question for you Gwen

I see you used the Cricut markers on your Halloween layout. Which was made with the markers? I'm really interested in getting them now! Do you do titles with them too?

the markers are awesome!!!! I have the blacks/browns set and the colors set.

The way I use them is that I put the marker where the blade goes, cut what I want to cut, then switch out for the blade, hit "load paper" so that it returns to start (never unloading paper because you don't want to screw up placement at all) and then (remembering to change the cut pressure back to where you like it, as you have to change the pressure to 2 for the markers) cut the same things again. That outlines what you're cutting.

So, when I do titles, it just outlines the letters. You can use the markers without cutting at all, and then cut out the title block, keeping in intact.

For the layout I did, I used the markers on the trick or treat bags and the tombstones. There was a skeleton on the cart, but that didn't work with the markers at all (it might have worked really well if I had the expression and wanted to cut it really big, but on a smaller scale, the markers didn't work). I also accidentally used the markers to cut out a huge bat on white paper (hit the wrong button when I was doing the tombstones) and it came out really cool!

if I didn't have the markers, you wouldn't be able to read the "trick or treat" on the bag - the cricut did that, not me. I'm not one to use my own handwriting on a page.

oh wow, I looked at it again and saw the trick or treat! I am adding those to my wish list. Which set do you use more...colors or the black, brown set?

I use the black/brown a LOT more than the colors.

ok, I'm ordering them, you've inspired me. I'll have to wait until Scott's next paycheck, but I can't wait to try them out. Thanks for answering all my questions.

I REALLY need to get these. My sister uses them all the time. I need to keep these in mind. Wish I could see your LO here at work. I still haven't had time to look at all the LOs yet.

Oh wow. Those are cool. I was wondering how those worked. Now I may have to get those, if I can ever afford to get my machine fixed.
