I finished one of these today, but then I realized I had never posted the rest...so here they are...
These go together - from fathers day weekend when my parents were in town and we had a cookout with my parents, grandparents and aunt. The paper is from Target's dollar section and the font is from Life's a beach cartridge.
Journaling says: "Since grandma and grandpa were visiting the weekend of Fathers Day, we decided to have everyone over for a cook out. Nana, great grandpa, and great aunt Trudy were also there. Daddy grilled burgers and hot dogs. Mommy made pasta salad. Yum!"
BIL with Nathan when he visited at the end of June for my niece's baptism.
Journaling says: This was only the second time that Nathan met Todd. While he was in town, he took us to dinner and took Nathan to the toy store. Nathan instantly took to him...wanting Todd to hold him - even when trying to get buckled into the car seat!"
Here is the one I did today... It is the first of many vacay pics I have to scrapbook.
Journaling says "We drove to Virginia to stay the night before leaving for the beach. You were asleep in the car, but when we arrived at 11:30 pm you were awake and excited. We had to get up and leave at 5 am, but you didn't go to sleep until 12:45 am! Eek!"
(I normally don't write my journaling "to" Nathan anymore since I had a family album, rather than his album, but I already redid this journaling once, so I gave up and left it as is)
Bday card for SIL...the shoe is from Graphically speaking cartridge
Inside says "It's your birthday... So, buy a pair in every color! Treat yourself and enjoy your birthday"
Kudos if you made it this far...that was a lot of stuff I posted!
I love the road trip LO, it's my fave! The card is really pretty as well.

I love your use of "busy" paper. I have so much paper like that but I'm always hesitant to use it as background paper. You did a great job incorporating the patterns and colors into your layouts. And I love how you used the circle on the Uncle Todd page.
great card, love the sentiment inside.

The Uncle Todd and Road Trip pages are my two faves....both of those designs really rock. But I love them all really. Like Gwen said, great job on using busy paper to your advantage.
