Reindeer Framed Christmas Present

I made this for Kayson's "Gigi". I got the idea online, so I can't take the credit. Wink It was made from his handprints and footprint. I had to get this posted tonight, as it will be given away tomorrow before we leave for CA. (that's why I took three pictures and they are all still pretty bad!)
anyways, you get the idea right?! Wink

I didn't have a large red button, so I cut a circle from a burgandy scrap and punched 4 holes in it with my eyelet setter. Smile hehe The frame was $3 at Walmart, so in total this gift probably cost $3.50. Not bad!

That's really cute! I'm sure she'll love it!

Grandparents and family are such saps about homemade gifts by the kids. Wink

CUTE Charys! I remember doing this with my daycare kids, but I never thought to frame it! I might just have to do it with Ruthie this year and frame it. It's a cheap, easy, Christmas decoration! TFS! Biggrin

That's too neat! Smile Kaitlyn has a Gigi too (stands for Great grandma here), I might do a small version of this for her.

I'm so lifting this idea. What did you use for the background in the frame?

That is so cute! I might lift that one as well. It'd be one tiny reindeer over here though!

We are really tight for cash this Christmas, so this idea really caught my attention - all my family would love a gift like that!! However, Cadi is not cooperating with me so far lol. Being 19mos and all ;). Hopefully I'll manage to get her to, or I'm out of ideas again! Thanks so much for sharing!

These are cute. I taught preschool for about 7 years before I moved up to elementary school (but now I'm at home full time with Madison) and I used to make sweatshirts with my preschoolers using this pattern. They loved getting to have their foot painted.

I scraplifted!!! Hope you dont mind-
I teach first grade and have done this hundreds of tiems but always on construction paper and with pom poms and wiggle eyes...
i am so impressed with your "embellished" version!
Here's my play, without the frame, eyes and nose, (Hobby Lobby closed on Sunday). It's 8x10

Cal's 14 months... the handprints werent easy to get! I'd love to do this for a few years and watch him grow!
I actually made 4- 1 for me, 1 for my mom, 1 for DH's mom, and one for his scrapbook...
2 are argyle (red and green)
1 is fancy smancy green
