    Default ribbon storage

    Hi ladies!

I'm working on a new craft area and I'm trying to organize all of the supplies I have. Does anybody have any great ways they store their ribbon? Can you share pictures please??

I'll post pictures of my new space soon! I've had all of my stuff in a closet since Miles was born, and it's a huge pain to take everything out into the kitchen, and put it all back when I'm done. Not to mention, I can't use my Cricut then because it would wake him up! I'm so excited to start scrapbooking again.

i use Ball type canning jars...use my cropadile to punch holes in the lids and set eyelets, then thread the ribbon through. I have several jars like this and some mini magnetic spice rack containers that I did the same thing to for shorter lengths of ribbon. I don't have close up pics of these right now. I can get some pics tomorrow or tuesday.

I have my ribbon in a antique wooden bowl. However if you want it more organized then I would do it another way. My sister has a paper towel holder thingy. She put all the spools of ribbon on it and then screwed it into her cabinet in a vertical position. She uses scotch tape to keep the ribbon in place once it is cut.
PS. I can't wait to see an ASH page!

Lauren, I have a bunch of canning jars now. It's still a mess though. I do like your idea of having the eyelets on top!

Tia, I like the paper towel holder, but these spools are taking up so much space!!

Maybe clothespins? The vintage ones? But I still need something to put all of those in...

I did scrap a page for Miles' album today!! It's been SO LONG since I've done anything scrapbooking related I'll share the page soon too, I like to take a picture of it in natural light so you can see its true colors!

I also have jars that DH sliced holes in. I used regular pickle type jars, etc. Then I threaded the ribbon through so I can see what it is and pull from the top. Works out pretty well. GL

I KNOW I've posted pictures of my ribbon storage, but I can't find them in flickr or photobucket. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. I have a cool paper towel roll shelf that's hanging in my scrapbook area. the ribbon spools are on the roll holder, plus I have a second dowel holding more. seeing a picture will make more sense.

ETA - found the picture! it was in Flickr after all
