Rotary paper trimmer?

Okay I'm still looking at getting a paper trimmer. I am getting a Fiskars for sure, but there are two different ones and I'm wondering if there is a real big difference. One is a straight, skinny 12" one and the other is more of a square shape and is called a "rotary" paper trimmer. Anyone know the difference? I can post links if needed...but didn't want to make you look if not necessary.

Carrie I had the grey and orange skinny one and it is okay but it can cut a little bit off. It might not bother you but if you are ocd like Kelly (love ya kelly) it will drive you crazy! There is another one by friskas that is right on, I will try to find it and post a pic for you.

UGH just remembered I can't do photobucket from this computer. I am at my mil"s house. If you go on the friskas site first page
www.fiskarscrafts.com/tools/c_trimmers.aspx

The 12 in portable paper trimmer 3rd down left hand side is the one that is a bit off. Thought it was just mine but my sisters is the same.

The 12 inch/30 cm Deluxe Portable Trimmer - Purple is however pretty good. This is the one I like.

Thanks Tia! I am looking at the 2nd one down right side and the 2nd one down left side.

I can't imagine they'll be more off than my ruler and scissors. Smile

I have the same one too Carrie and I've not had a problem with it and as TIA said, I WOULD notice. I had a different one but the blades were $10 to replace. The 2nd one on the left has a 2 pack of blades for $5. Plus the one thing I like is its slim and light weight. I tend to throw mine around alot.

I had the third one on the left for years...and it did cut a bit off sometimes. Plus I went to buy replacement blades for it locally last December and couldn't find ones that worked in it. So I used a Walmart gift card from my dad and bought one that looks like the the top one on the right...but mine is not purple (everywhere that one is purple mine is black). I love it. Cuts great and I already picked up a pack of replacement blades! I have found that it is easier to read the lines on this one than it was on the other one.

ROFL I got this mental image of you literally chucking it across the room! Somehow I'm doubting that's what you meant...
