Default SCAL or Make the Cut???

Even though I digi scrap for the most part, i still like the blow the dust off my cricut every once in awhile. I want to put up wordart on my walls at my new house and i would really like to be able to connect the letters together and figure I could use the program for other things as well.

So... which one is better?? Which do you prefer? What do you like/don't like about the one you're using?? Help me choose!

I have tried both ( the trial of MTC and I own SCAL2. I love SCAL. I went over this comparison list and played around a bit with both... and decided to get SCAL. I don't think you would regret using it!

I downloaded both trials... i've read reviews that say that MTC is more user friendly (I don't agree!) so i started with that first! I had to watch a tuturial just to learn how to put text on the mat!

For SCAL, I figured it out right away (getting my text on the mat) without any help. BUT... almost every time I try to move or resize the object the program stalls.. (it's happened at least a handful of times which means i have to close the program)... does this happen to anyone else???

yep, I have this issue a lot. Especially if I am moving or resizing a shape. It is a pain, but I deal with it, groan a little and then just do it again. Thankfully it remembers what I was doing now and I don't have to redo anything. The first version that came out was really glitchy and anytime it crashed you lost your work in progress.
