    Default scraplifting and challenges

is it ethical to scraplift and use your final product for a challenge? i'm not talking a total scraplift, i just mean using an element or something small, like some wording.

I wouldn't see why not? I mean take the "sketch" challenge and the scraplifting done with that, but our pages all look different.

If you use the exact same colors, etc... then yes, it would be unethical. But unless you're digi scrapping and using the same kit, it's almost impossible to exactly scraplift something. So, in essence, at least at this board, scraplift and challenge post away.

    I agree with Mish ...

And I have to say I HAVE bought the exact same kit and scraplifted identically (once or twice when I really loved the layout) ... that said, I didn't submit them for challenges or publishing since the original idea wasn't mine

Yeah, no lift is identical, so that would be totally fine! A lot of times I lift color schemes, or a certain element and still post for the challenges.
