Scrappyness!

I got a couple layouts done last night. One for the simplicity challenge. Originally I made the Love layout for it, but added a button brad, so couldn't enter it. So...I made the butterfly layout instead.

a quick card using the scraps from the "love" layout.

And I created this card for a challenge on Bitten By the Bug. I was supposed to make an ornament out of the circle cut on George.

TFL!

Ok Charys, how'd you do the ornament on the card? Is that transparency stitched? Wonderful work, as always! TFS

Thank you! I typed out the directions on my blog. It is stitching. that took forever, because it's hard to pierce through the transparency! Smile

Ok, one more question....where in the craft store would you find transparencies? LOL

Oh, BTW, the monkey cupcakes are adorable and the house was decorated so cute! I might have to steal that idea (but choose a different animal)!! Wink

I actually bought the tranparencies at Office Depot. Any major office supply store would have them. I bought a box of 100 and it was almost $30! But that makes 200+ cards, so I thought it would be worth it. Gwen mentioned that sometimes you can find some on Freecycle or something like that every once in a while. A lot of churches have leftovers from their overhead projectors. That's how I started doing transparency cards. My church gave me all the extra ones and I thought there's got to be a way to make cards with them! Smile

I knew you'd do something great with those butterfly pics. Love both LOs and the cards. That story on the birthday page was so wonderful Charys. TFS

Charys, those are fantastic as usual! LOVE the butterfly layout. And those cards! I would love to be able to make cards like that. I don't the nerve to try though cause all I need is more mess strung all around the house Wink

Beautiful job!
