Should we revive the classes?

Should we try to do classes again? If you weren't here when we did the classes before, check the intro sticky, as most have been copied up there (hopefully all of them, actually).

You just volunteer with a topic/technique you want to teach, you'll get assigned a week to lead your class and everyone that wants to can follow along. Smile

Let me know if you want to see this again, and if you're interested in leading a class. You don't have to have a topic just now, but if you do, feel free to share that too.

I'd be interested in it again. I could do my class(es) on the weekends. I could even do one tomorrow......

I am interested in having them again. Right now I can't think of anything I could do a class on, but I will let you know if I think of something

I think more classes will be great. I'd love to share, but it gets difficult since I use a different program than most.

I would love to see more classes, that last set were really cool. The only technique I kind of know how to do which might be cool for a class would be embossing on vellum. Would that be interesting for the paper scrappers out there?

I'm interested but wondering if I'd need to purchase extra equipment?

I'll let you know if I think of anything I could teach.

I LOVE the classes! I was just thinking about asking about this the other day. I didn't bring it up because I am in and out so much in the summer. We're hardly home more than three days in a row which leaves very little time for scrapping! But I am definitely in in a few weeks! If you start them right away I'll do my best to participate when I can.

There is one tool you would need but it should cost less than $5 if not $2. I'll post a pic in a bit.

I'd be interested in the embossing one, especially if the tool wasn't that much. I emboss with powder, but I think you're talking about something else.

Katie - it's a once a week thing, so it will be ongoing for a little while. Can you teach one of the classes? I love your style and I bet you can come up with something good for us.

Stephanie - I think if you can come up with a concept that works well with paper and digital, it won't matter about the program. For example, the class I did was on color blocking - that can apply for both paper and digital.

I will teach, but not sure when I will have time to put it together over the next few weeks. In fact, I'd feel better if we started after Labor Day, gives those teaching time to put stuff together, and we'll have summer under our belts (and lots of pictures from summer). What do you think of that?

Teaching list:
Charys
Andrea
Stephanie?
Katie?
Gwen

I should clarify. You can emboss on vellum with powder and heat just like any other paper which is what everyone is probably thinking I meant. You can also do the cheap way specifically on vellum (not other papers) but it still looks really cool and you don't need elaborate or hard to find tools. I'll post a thread with instructions on what you will need a week or two before the class, it's not expensive.

I can go whenever except for August 22nd/23rd since my little dude is being baptized that day.

Hahaha! I would have NO CLUE where to even start! I can't think of a single topic. I would be willing to do one, but I would have to think of something. Lemme think on it! Biggrin

I hereby grant you time to think on it.

I have no idea what I will teach either. But I have total confidence that you'll come up with a class you can lead us through. Wink Check out the previous classes and see if that inspires you at all. Smile

I thought of one idea, but I'm not sure it would apply very well to digital. So maybe it would work well if somebody also wanted to do a digi-only and we could do them the same week? I will also keep thinking to see if I can think of anything else that everybody could do.

what I'm thinking about doing is paper only too. but in the end, I think we should have one class a week. Maybe another one of the digi SBers here will do a class, and we can just alternate between digital and paper.

Okay, as long as I wouldn't be breaking any rules! Lol I'll still keeping thinking, though. Yay, I'm excited for classes again. I need something to motivate me!
