Some more last minute Mother's Day Cards

Whipped these out tonight between kid's baths and getting them to bed. They're for the 2 godmothers of Katie's that are in town and for the kid's church grandma.

Oh this reminds me. Carrie, you asked me when my computer was broken what size cards I make. The majority of them are the standard homemade card size- 4.25 inches by 5.5 inches. I do have some 5x7 prefolds, but I haven't made one of those in awhile.

Those are great Michelle. I really like the top card. Love the wording, is that a sticker?

I really love the verse on the first one, and the 4 blocks, that's really lovely. The other 2 are great as well, but I keep going back to the first one lol.

Wanna know a secret? Sometimes I look through scrapbooking magazines and find stylings I like. But I don't want to copy them and seeing a picture straight on I can't dislodge the colors they used, and I try to be too literal to the picture, etc. So when I find ones I like, I sketch them out and make little notes about notions and such, but try to leave it as general as possible. I then put the sketches away for awhile. When I come back to them, I can't remember the colors, etc so by the time I use my sketch, it really turns into more my own because being my own sketches, I feel more free to embellish.

So I guess it's more a modified original because I can't say that the 1st card was 100% original thought. But yet it's not a direct copy.... does that make sense?
