Some new cards!

I was in quite a cardmaking mood the last couple days, so here are some that I came up with. I need a break from the cards for a while, so I hope to work on some scrapping stuff tomorrow. Anyway, here they are!

Mother's Day cards for my mom and MIL

Thank you cards. I don't like how the white letters blend in to the off-white background on the last one, but it's not too bad in person

A b-day card for my aunt. I SO wish this wasn't so blurry because it's my favorite one! The red paper is inked on the edges with silver ink, and the white paper is inked on the edges with black ink. I just love that black and white background paper, so I'm going back to JoAnn for more (6 for 96 cents sale is on!)

wow! those are all great! and even though the black and white card is blurry you can still see it and it looks awesome! I do have to ask, I have seen "inking" done before...how exactly do you do it? Do you just take a small sponge and ink or what?

Thank you for all of your sweet comments! Smile

babyblues341, about the inking - I'd seen it on projects before, but never done it myself until this card. So, I have no idea if I'm doing it the "right" way or not, but I like how it turned out. I just took the edge of the paper and lightly pressed it into the stamp pad. If you hold the paper almost straight up, it tends to put a more solid line of ink, but if you hold it at an angle, it will give more of a spongy look. I experimented on some scraps first. I really like the technique! It's something very simple that really makes the paper "pop!"

Oh, they came out great! I think even the white letters on the cream background look good. I like them. The Mother's Day cards are very pretty. I really need to get mine done....
