Stamp Organization system?

So as I was organizing all my scrapping stuff..... You all know how that goes, it hit me that I have a LOT of stamps.

It's not organized in anyway, except haphazardly stuck on a shelf. I'd really love to get some see through containers but I have no idea where to even start.

help? Pleeeeze?

I have a small tub for my stamp pads and stickles. Then I have a big one with just Christmas in it. I have a big one with sayings (mostly religious) in it. I've just started a third one with general pictures. The system works pretty well for me. I got the boxes from Hobby lobby.

Are you talking acrylic stamps? I've heard of people storing them in clear CD cases. You can label the outside edge?

If you're talking wooden stamps, do you think plastic containers from Walmart might work?

oh and I just have my stamps all stacked in a wicker basket. I'm sure there's got to be a better way!

I have heard about the cd cases too for storing clear stamps.

For your wooden stamps, if you want them on display so you can find them easily...
you could purchase 1 of those shelf-type things for cupboards. you know, the kind you can put different canned foods on? I can't think of what it would be called, we have 1 in our cupboard if you want a picture. it basically has 3 heights so you can have stuff behind but still see it. kwim?

I do! Trying to find a pic now, because I can't think of a better way to describe it.

I was thinking of the wire one, but here is a plastic one, this is what you meant right Ashley?

I was thinking aobut something like this, for starters. I just want something simple where I can find them easier than digging through my collection.

One of my New Years Goals was to get organized. This is one of many many many steps to that. Two weeks now with a semi clean house and going......
