Stamping on pages?

I have a lot of stamps (well, more than 20) and I never use them! I've played with embossing, but my inks tend to dry too quickly. Anyhow, I just don't find myself using stamps on pages, I usually don't even think about them. I thought I'd start this thread to see if anyone else uses stamps on their pages. I'd love to see some work with stamps.

Maybe we could have a mini challenge using stamps on pages?

What a great idea! I've never used stamps on pages, but I have a lot! Smile That would be a fun challenge, because it would make us try new things.

One of my good friends IRL was telling me about Stampin' Up! parties. I would love to go to one, but they don't have anyone selling it here in Brady, TX. I went to their website and there are tons of ideas using stamps on scrapbook pages! It's sooo cool! www.stampinup.com

I have alphabet letters, that I hardly use b/c I always get the outside with ink and it looks stupid.

Off to check out that site! Biggrin

My neighbor does Stampin' Up, but she's never hosted a camp with scrapbooking, only cards. Their stuff is great, but I certainly don't need another addiction. Lol

I have WAY too many stamps. One of my good friends is a SU demonstrator and well...I used to spend so much money there! I stamp all the time on cards and things, but not often on my pages. Hmm...sounds like a good challenge.

I don't scrap as often as I should with stamps but I do it some - I should do more as I have a ton of stamps.

Stampin' Up stamps are WONDERFUL!

Gwen - to help with embossing, don't use regular ink, use a versamark stamp pad (not the colored ones although I'm sure they'd work, just a regular old versa mark). This stamp pad gives the illusion of a water mark when used regularly but it stays sticky for a while and makes embossing MUCH easier. Also, wipe your page with a dryer sheet before stamping & applying embossing powder and you'll have less pieces of powder in places you don't want them.

I think this would be a great challenge for us sometime.

I actually do stamp frequently and I have been suckered into the Close to My Heart products.

I'll have to go take some pics. I like to use the letter stamps or if I don't have the right patterned paper, I like to create my own with the stamps.

wow Dee! You get your stamps lined up perfectly. That first page is amazing. I thought those were stickers. I'm scared mine would be all crooked. The page you did last night is fab! Soooo precious!

You know, I've actually discovered there is no way to mess it up. You just start stamping, step back look for empty space or a spot that needs a touch up and stamp again. It's actually not to bad.

That's what I did, I was trying so hard to get it perfectly lined up but then I said, ahhh, taking to long and then I just started going to town, so to speak.

The one I finished last night, I had a hard time trying to come up with something and then I got my new scrapbooks etc mag and right on the cover was a setup I loved and I got inspired.
