I did a layout today. So, the layout itself was created a few YEARS ago when I took a color blocking class. Just never had the pictures I wanted to use for it. But I decided today that I really needed to use it, and I went through all of my pictures until I found ones I could use. Still took me a while to do, mainly because I was trying to do a watermark of the smiling starfish behind the text, but couldn't get it to work out. (I'm using Open Office on that computer instead of Word, since I don't have a licensed copy for that laptop - if I had Word, it would have been a snap - and I refused to surface where the kids could see me to use the computer with Word). The title and journaling are on vellum ... and those little letters were a challenge with the Xyron because they were hard to see when I was peeling them off.
Here's the light I used to photograph the layout ... that's the steps going down to the basement. Think there's enough snow there?
And for perspective, Natalie by the snow out front ... she's 41" tall (with no shoes). Of course, a lot of the snow behind her is from shoveling, but I'm guessing we got about 30" when all was said and done.
