Thank you. I stopped at 18 months and it was hard to give it up, but I still think it was great to have gone that long.

that is really great! At the end ( last couple months) how many times a day were you nursing? I'm asking because right now Jamie is down to 1 time a day ( bedtime) and I am wondering how long my milk will stick around with just that one time.

18 months is amazing! I only made it to 10.5 months. I was working full-time and only pumping about 2 oz a day. She was easy to wean too. It was very, very heartbreaking especially b/c I wanted to make it to a year. It's still hard on my heart, as you can tell.

Did you just decide to wean, or was it her decision? Is she taking it well?

She was only on 4 feeds per day at 1-year. When she hit 15 months I took it down to 3 and at 16 months I took it down to 2 feeds. I dropped both feeds at 18 months. Andrea never had an issue with any of it. She never nursed for comfort and is just as happy with cow's milk as with nursing. Only once since stopping has she tried to nurse again and that was because DH brought her to me in bed and it probably was a familiar setting for nursing for her.
