Stupid Question??

I know this may be a very stupid question but if I want my layout to be 12x12 what do I select for my pixel width and heigth?

7200x7200 for a 600dpi resolution. hope that answered the question correctly. Wink

Wow - I thought I was doing high resolution doing 300 dpi (3600x3600)... I thought everywhere I read, most people say either 200 or 300 dpi - why 600?

I don't know, I just tend to go on the higher side I guess. Lol I get everything printed so I don't want to lose any resolution. I suppose 300 would be fine, I've just never tried it.

Most printing sights recommend at least 300 dpi

well I use imageready to do my scrapbooking in and when I create a new layout in gives me options for the width and height in pixels. It doesn't give me an option for dpi.

Anyone know what I would need to do? I am afraid to do anymore scrapbooking because I want to make sure I am doing the right size to eventually have them printed and I don't want to have to redo them all. IYKWIM

I'm assuming you would use the 7200x7200. (See coolmama72's reply) Or you could do the 3600x3600. Does that answer your questions. Both of those sizes would turn out fine. (I'm not a digi scrapper, but I think that's what they were trying to say.) Smile

do you have the option to change the setting from pixels to inches? Thats what I do in photoshop etc, but not sure if imageready does that to.
