    Default Transparency cards

It must be Card Day! I saw this idea somewhere and thought it would be fun to make some cards from transparencies. The pics don't really show them off well, but I think they are cute! Try it....it's fun!!!

    Another Mother's Day card:

    "Hello"

Baby Boy Card: (This is my favorite of the bunch)

    Happy Birthday

    And all of them together.

Charys- those are great! I am going to have to steal all those! Is that the ribbon I sent you? I need some of that!

I have a question for you. I know you have made coaster albums before. Where did you get your coasters. I want to make some for Mother's Day, but I am running a bit behind! Any help? Thanks!

Yep, that's the AWESOME ribbon you gave me!! I don't think these would've worked well without the self-adhesive ribbon like that. I would LOVE to have a sewing machine, so I could stitch across the transparency, but that will have to wait.....
I have not actually made a coaster album out of coasters (I just cut cardboard into the same size pieces). But I bet you could go into any Olive Garden, Outback, Chili's, etc. and ask for a dozen or so and they'd probably give them to you. Everytime we go out to eat I keep meaning to pick some up. Or atleast snatch them before our glasses are set down on them and they go to "waste". Good luck! It's pretty easy making them out of cereal boxes though, if you want to try that.

Ok thanks. I might have to just order some from Oriental Trading b/c the closest nice restaurant like that is an hour away. I might be able to get some from a local bar! What kind of glue do you use. Sorry to steal your thread.

These are so cute. Do you have an insert on the inside for writing?

I used a glue stick and it dried nice and clear.

I glued a piece of paper the same size as the main piece on the outside into the inside for writing on. One card I left blank inside and I will write my message with a white pen and see how that works. (The Mother's Day card) I made sure to place it exactly where the top piece is, so it didn't stick out. does that make sense?

What a cool idea! I've never seen this done before. The cards are beautiful! I'm wondering, how do you get a transparency to fold like that? It seems like they'd be too flimsy to make a good, solid fold - do tell!

Those do look really cool. Where did you find the transparencies? I might have to try that soon. I need to get started on some mothers day cards.
