Didn't want to hijack the other thread, but I seriously had to say:
$8 per page! This is crazy, what is that including?
I did forget to include the few kits I buy into my average so I probably spend about $2 per page.
The $3 a page to print, and I downloaded my paypal history for the year (200, and I took out all the stuff that wasn't SB related, added it up and it was like $800 (more than I thought! About $65 a month) ... I figured out how many layouts I did (just by looking at the details on my computer, when the jpg was made), times-d it by $3, added it to the 800, divided by the number of layouts and it was like $8.33 or something ... I think I did like 150 layouts. I didn't include the cost of my program, at all (I don't even want to think about that lol).
I buy a lot of kits if I really like them (especially if they're on sale lol), and I bought a bunch of templates last year when Janet Phillips stopped selling (I think I spent almost $60 alone there) ... so a lot of it I still haven't used yet, but to figure out how much I spend on average I lumped it all in there. I find Freebies don't always do it for me anymore - I like them, but then I see the whole kit and have to have it! lol There are a few designers I 'stalk' - I buy almost everything of theirs, unless I really don't like the preview. Gina Marie Huff of Weeds & Wildflowers is one of them, Natali Design is another.
I actually looked at a thread at DST at the beginning of the year, and I was about average for the ones that answered, maybe a bit more - some people had spent well over $2000 (but they also did WAY more layouts than I did - we're talking 300 or more). I figure $8 a page isn't bad, either - still cheaper than paper!
Your $2 a page - you're wonderwoman! I wish I had that control!
Ok, for S&G I just downloaded my Paypal history for 2009 ... So far this year I have spent $223, and I've done 43 layouts .. I haven't printed any yet , but that'll be $129 ... so $223 + 129 = $352 /43 = $8.19 average still lol.
Creature of habit I guess!
Oh my! I'm so impressed that you buy so much. I feel bad if I spend $10 a month. I just don't have a budget for scrapping. I was so happy to get on the 3scrapateers team so that I can pick kits from there and get something other than freebies.
I probably don't spend near $8/page paper scrapbooking, BUT if you add up the cost of cartridges, Cricut, ribbons, and divide that by how many pages I've done, then yep, I've probably spent atleast $8!! hahaa
