two feet of SNOW

FINALLY got to do a layout. The border challenge got me moving. I think I only have two more layouts left and then I'm done with 2009. ROFL Sooooooooooo far behind on 2010!!!

I used glitter glue, which I never use on my pages. Turned out really neat! Used SCAL and my Cricut to cut out all of the snowflakes. The page on the left features some of the snowflakes cut from the pictures on the right. I'm really happy with this layout.

Forgive all of the pictures, just wanted to show the details that you can't see with just one photo. Smile

The glitter in the center of each snowflake really looks neat in person

Journaling:
For the first time in what seems like forever, we had a LOT of snow right before Christmas. The huge snowstorm that started on Friday night and didn’t end until Saturday kept us homebound the whole weekend. The kids were thrilled with this much snow (I’m guessing we got about 24″) and school was canceled for Monday and Tuesday. So the kids got an extra two days of Christmas vacation. More time for them to sled, that's for sure. I don’t have any pictures of Andrew sledding because he came in from the cold just as I was going out with the camera. But the girls certainly had a blast out on the snow hill across the street.

Really great Gwen! I am glad you found time to do that..as I know you were itching too. I need to do a two pager again sometime, haven't done one in forever. TFS

I love it--did you use the snowflake punch on the photos or punchout pink snowflakes? It looks great.

Love the colors and how you used the "negative" image from the snowflakes. Great job with the glitter!

Looks great Gwen! All those snowflakes must have been a pain to glue down.

thanks girls! took me a while to do this layout, only because I've been out of practice. I have the rest of my 2009 photos out, and hope to get the last 1-2 layouts done this week. It will be so nice to get that book out of my crop corner and on the shelf with my other completed years. Smile

I used my Cricut to cut the snowflakes out of the photos.

This is great! I love the glitter in the center of the snowflakes! I bet that does look great in person! And that reminds me that I forgot to take a pic of a recent LO I did with glitter in the center of flowers. I'll have to share that another time I guess. I really like the layout of the pictures on your page. Very nice!
