These two layouts took me DAYS, but only because I haven't had a huge chunk of time to scrapbook.
The first is my layout for the monochrome challenge. I also used the Project 12 sketch that Sarah told us about back in January for it. I think this is what I'll do with my project 365 photos, just pick a few to highlight my month.
This is a digi layout, and I went through a TON of kits to get the different shades of blue for it. I also recolored a lot of them.
And then this is the paper layout I've been struggling with. It's not how I wanted it to be, but I don't want extra elements to take away from it. I feel like the Hershey kisses are lame though. I'm afraid to color on the white paper strips on the kisses because I don't want to screw them up. But I don't like how they look. I had a cool hat and scarf border sticker I wanted to use, but it clashed with the red of the title so I didn't use it.
We surprised the kids with a trip to Hersheypark's Christmas Candylane. We packed their bags and didn't tell them where we were going. Of course, Andrew can read, but he didn't even notice the signs until we were about 5 miles out from the park. They were THRILLED! It was cold though, so we were bundled up the whole time. The kids went on as many rides as they could. Poor Jack didn't get to leave his stroller at all for a ride. He was such a good sport about it. We enjoyed hot chocolate, and a short break from the cold. We also took the kids to see Santa, and Jack was great about sitting on Santa's lap. He enjoyed the Hershey kisses afterward even more. We stayed until after it got dark, but left when we couldn't feel our toes anymore. We stayed at a hotel nearby, and the kids all had a blast in the hotel pool the next morning. It was a fantastic trip!!!!

And I embossed the background mat on the photo strips, but the flash kinda blows it out here. I tried to get a close up so you can see. I might try a natural light photo of the layout if I get some time today.
