    Default Upcoming card swap discussion

Okay, with the holidays coming up, etc, I thought we should talk about the upcoming card swaps so that I can get a feel for what the group wants to do. Do we want to spread them out and not do as many in the next few months so that we have more time to make our own holiday cards, etc? Do you want a halloween card exchange? How about Thanksgiving cards, Holiday cards, or New Year's Eve cards.

Let's just keep this an open dialogue for a few days so we can see what everyone wants.

I think the next card swaps should be holiday themed for sure. That is a great idea. Since Halloween is coming up pretty quickly, we'd have to get on the ball with those. I personally don't send out Halloween cards but that is just me. I think Christmas and Thanksgiving cards would be a cute idea and maybe they could be two combined in one so we make 5 of each and they are due maybe October 25th or something like that. That would give over a month and maybe that could also be the Christmas card exchange we were talking about previously?

You know I was just going to PM you and say I probably wouldn't be able to make the next swap, only because I have GOT to start my Christmas cards! I have so many to make, that I know I won't have time to be making extras, but if we are doing a Christmas card swap, I'd be in, for that reason.

As far as Thanksgiving, if there are others interested, that would be great, but I will have to pass myself. The 80+ xmas cards are looming over my mind.

It may be a good idea to do just one more swap before the holidays. I'm anxious to hear what everyone thinks!

I'd actually be in for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas. I'm eager to join in!

Since we are all working on Christmas cards, how about make 10 christmas cards and send the out the first week of November. That way we can just add them in to what we are making.

I'm definately hearing that Christmas cards are a good idea. I agree on that one. I wouldn't mind Thanksgiving, but I'm not too excited about the idea anyway. Like Charys, I have way to many things that need to get done before Christmas. I don't normally make my Christmas cards, but I don't mind making part of them.

I do try to mail out my Christmas cards the first week of Dec, so earlier is definately better on a card swap.

    Keep talking....

Heh, if you don't mind that you've seen them already... I've already got an assortment of 20 done that I'd swap/give for the various swaps and exchanges. Though I'm really excited about the next couple of cards I'm making and could keep those a secret for the swap.

I vote for Christmas. I am too lazy to get Halloween and Thanksgiving cards out, but I am in the mood for shopping for Christmas scrapping stuff. I would be excited to start on those!

I only give Halloween/Thanksgiving to our god children (2 nephews), so I agree not a big need. I like the idea of swapping some Christmas cards.

Also, for the future, I'd be interested in doing anniversary cards.
