Default Updated fall page + one card

I wanted to scrapbook yesterday ... but lacked the mojo. We're in the middle of a blizzard (28 inches so far and counting ... they're calling for another 8-10 inches by the time it's over). Perfect scrapbooking weather, right? Ugh.

Anyhow, I took some of the suggestions for my fall layout and made a tag. I moved the photo of Jordan up so I could put the tag at the bottom. There's a brown ball chain thing attached, I just love the effect. I'm really happy with the layout now. I wish I had edged the tag in brown ink, but I didn't ... and now it's attached with ATG adhesive so it's not moving. It took several attempts to get the tag cut perfectly on the journaling (I used the cricut to cut it after I had printed the writing).

And then my friend just turned 40. We were supposed to do a spa overnight to celebrate tonight ... but the snow has postponed the event. Here's the card I made for her, inspired by one Charys did a while ago. I'm really happy with how it came out.

I hope to get a layout done today plus a birthday card for MIL (the kids will make their own, and I'll photograph them too ) And I gotta bake some banana bread ... while watching the snow fall. ha ha ha ha We've had enough snow to last the decade! Virginia does NOT get snow like we've had this winter!!!!!

LOVE the 40 card w/the brackets...and especially the kraft paper! The page looks great -- is it half digital / half paper!?!?!

Sorry your spa night got cancelled! What a bummer. I hope the snow lets up soon, yuck!

I heard that you are getting pummeled with snow. We got some today but it was fluffy and pretty

    That page is gorgeous!

The large tag is awesome on the fall layout! Did you cut the tag with the cricut after typing the journaling?

And love the card! I may have started it, but your cards like this rock! I LOVE the vellum with the name.

yes, I typed the journaling first and then cut with the cricut. I cut the tag with a scrap piece of paper first so I could line up the printed part just right. I screwed up the first couple of times (forgot about the hole the first time, and lost some journaling there). finally went up a size on the tag to get it to work out just right.

and I'm thankful for your card inspiration. always.

I can imagine that took a few different tries! I could tell by looking at it....that looked hard. But it turned out great. I'm going to give that a try.

Yep, that tag is perfect there, and I agree, that chain is so cool! Your card is so cute also. We lived in Va for about a year and I never remember getting much more snow than we get here..Weird!!!
