Using a Mac for digi pages and brand new :)

Hi. I'm Kate. I just looked at this forum and I'm VERY excited. I love to scrap although I'm still a novice but I think digital is the way for me. I have never heard of Digi scrap until just recently. I'm living in Switzerland right now and scrapbook supplies are not easy to come by, nor are they cheap (not that anything is reasonably priced here!)

Anyway, I'm using a Mac. Does anyone have any suggestions on programs to use? I just saw a post on iRemember so I pulled up that site. I read that a lot of you use Photoshop and things like that. Is there a special download you have to do in order to scrapbook with it or are you all just super talented and can figure it all out? I also have a PC (hubby is a computer geek) so is a PC better to use over a Mac? We find that there isn't always a lot available for Mac's so I don't know if scrapping would be the same. Picassa, which I love, is not available for Mac's Sad

Thanks!
Kate

Hi Katie! I use a mac to do my digi scrapbooking. My DH and I find that it is good for all of our photos and photo editing, so that is where all my photos are. I just finished my first dig scrapbook using iRemember. It was fairly easy to use, and I like the end product. I have not ventured out in using any free downloads off the internet, but maybe with this next book I will. Good Luck whichever route you take!!!!

if you have photoshop, that is an AWESOME start to digi scrapping, its one of the most used programs for digital scrapbooking, sort of the standard in the community. Here are some tutorials on creating your first digi page:
