VC#7 - Procrastination Station

If you're like me, you've got tons of stuff in your scrap supplies that you have had for awhile and keep meaning to use it. I want you to take something you got MORE THAN 6 MONTHS AGO and use it on a page or card. Let us know what the product was and when you got it.

Winner will receive a $5 gift certificate to The Daily Digi if a digi girl or a surprise in the mail if a paper girl.

you are a MIND READER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was thinking of starting a challenge like this! I have a ton of stuff that qualifies, so I'm definitely entering this challenge!

ha this one is great because I organized all of my stuff ( again) the other day and made a drawer labeled "must use ASAP" with all of the things from , mostly over a year ago that I haven't used. I am making myself look in that drawer before I use any other supplies until they are mostly gone.

HAHAHA... I could actually have entered in my baby announcements in this challenge (had I made them this weekend and not started them earlier... I'm not quite done with them yet). I was determined to use some of the stock piles I had and not go out and buy.

Great challenge!

Considering that it has been over 6 months since I have actually bought any paper this is not going to be hard for me.

Ha ha ha!

Does it need to be "stuff" from more than 6 months ago or can it be pictures that are more than 6 months old? I've got 11 and 12 month pages for Scout to do before she turns 2 (in 13 days! How did that happen!?!?!)

Photos more than 6 month old only if you don't have an old kit waiting to be used Smile

Oh man, I've got loooots of papers that I deemed "too pretty" to touch and use on layouts. And then they just sit here. LOL. I need to try this challenge.

So I think that basically anything I do could apply to this challenge!

These Shabby Princess kits (Festival and Promise, I think) were two of the very first ones I downloaded almost a year ago.

And the picture is almost from 10 months ago:

Okay here is my one for this challenge. The picture is from 1995. It is of my stepdaughter (who turned 18 yesterday). and the paper I got at least 4 years ago. and the flowers on the page were gotten about 2 years ago. so the whole layout sans the ribbon is old stuff.

This was an easy page, but I'm happy with it. The background paper is atleast 6-8 months old. I bought it long ago, but since it's shaped like that I always want to save them. I know, silly! And the paper with the owls and deer on it is very old too. It was fun going through my stash. The tractor was cut from Everyday Paperdolls. The journaling tab is Fabulous Finds.

Missy, that paper is so cool! Did you type on that? And what a great pic! Great job!

Charys, yours is so pretty. Love how you can combine all those soft colors for your big boy's LOs. Great work!

The papers that say tiny, precious, baby and adorable are from My Mind's Eye and I have had that since BEFORE Jamie was born. lol.

In case you are interested, the journaling says "Jamie, I can't imagine a day that I do not remember how this moment felt. I loved you more in that instant than I ever could have imagined"

This started out as the sunshine challenge but I just couldn't make flowers work on it so I'm entering it here instead.

I bought the beach embellishments when we went to Florida in 2005!!!! Is that old enough? ROFL The castle, sunblock, shells, waves, sun, and clouds were all bought then.

Actually the pic is 6 mo. old too if you want to get technical! Wink

I decided to do my first ever digital LO! It took me awhile because I was learning, I had to search for a Youtube tutorial on how to use my PS Elements to even begin. I think it could have turned out better but it's my first. Anyway, I have had the program and digital kits for over 6 months and I also used a picture that was taken at the beginning of July, so that was 6 months ago also.

The kit is Shabby Princess Promise.

I've had this freebie sitting in my files for almost a year now. I've been meaning to do a page with this title. I'm not entirely happy with the picture I chose, but it will do for now. Smile

Kit is Bren Boone's Apple of My Eye (still available in the scraporchard freebees)

oh, I also based this one on the newest pencillines sketch.

I am learning so much by looking at these...both digi and paper!

SewGirly, that lo is GREAT! It would take me 4 days to do that. Haha.

Amy, I've used elements from the lo you posted here in a lot of the challenges. You did a great job!

And Auret, I think I'll have to go download that kit now. Soo precious! Smile

The orange papers in this layout came from a paper pack that SIL got me as a gift soon after I started scrapbooking...probably five years ago? I have way too much paper and I always forget about that pack. Oops!

I want to do this challenge so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had to say that. I planned on doing it today, but Dad is napping in my crop space/guest room. Maybe after everyone goes to bed tonight I'll get to do this one.

This kit came from Christina Renee that I got when it first came out in 2008, but never used. That's typical for me though: buy what I think is awesome and that I just KNOW I'll use and then forget about it, haha! I doubled this one in the slogan challenge.

I am the same way! I have a bunch of shaped papers I've never used as a result. I should have used one of those for this challenge. Wink

Okay, with less than an hour to go before the VC ends, here's my layout for this challenge. Wink

First, I finally opened this kit that my sister gave me for Christmas 2008

IMG_7816

And I opened up this distress thing that I used on the edges of my mat paper (but you can't even tell in the final version that I did that grrrrrrrrrrr). I've had this thing for at least 2 years! Never used it once!

IMG_7818

And the picture is 15 years old. I still can't believe I graduated college that long ago! (on top of that, I did an extra year because I changed my major a few times, I really should have been class of '94). UD is University of Delaware. And I'll probably slide the UD a little to the right in the morning, it's too left justified for me.
