VC Challenge #1: 2009 Resolutions/Goals

I tend to try to make limited resolutions each year. Not because I don't have a list of things I should be doing, but because if I choose just one or two things it may get done. Wink

For this challenge I want you to tell me your 2009 Resolutions/Goals. Each person that posts will get their name entered into a drawing to win a prize! If you SCRAPBOOK a page on your goals, you will get your name entered 5 times.

This is an example of a page I did last year.

I hope to get to work on one for this year during the crop....

Cool challenge.
We have a few goals this year. We're ambitious. Our first was to get the house in order and start getting rid of the stuff/junk that's just piling up.
The basement is well under way. We've gotten rid of most of our plastic storage and are only using glass. Got the laundry room in order (and as a bonus, my card stuff got sorted out). So... so far, so good.

My second goal is to keep working out 5 times a week. The more I exercise, the more likely I'll actually start toning up. LOL

My last goal is to renew my need to keep up with devotions. Hubby and I are SO much better when we do devotions together each night.

I'll have to think about this some more, but I have general goals. I love the idea of scrapbooking them!

My major Goal this year is to keep my house a little cleaner. Like each night all the dishes need to be done or in the dishwasher and i must keep the counters clear.

I am also working on my weight this year but not 100% sure what those goals are going to be this year.

My goal this year is to start losing weight again. I lost a lot on 2007 but 2008 gained some of it back, so it is time to lose that and more.

Weight loss goal for the year -- 35 pounds. I'm doing POBLC currently and hope to stick with it long enough to lose some towards my long term goals.

Use less consumables -- cut down on our paper plates, paper towels, etc. It will not only help our budget, but be better for the environment. I'm an avid recycler already, but we go through a lot of trash that ends up in the dump still.

Cut down on our household junk/mess. DH is my worst enemy on this, though. He's such a packrat!

Find time to scrapbook/unwind/me time! I often get so busy and stressed that I don't always take time for myself.

I guess I have 2....and I'm not really a resolution type of person.

1. To get Pregnant w/ #2.
2. To recycle. I have realized that we are given the resources to recycle, yet I've done nothing about it. After watching a program on one family that recycled for 1 year....I couldn't believe how much GARBAGE he really had after just 1 year. I plan to make an effort for 2009.

This was hard because I'm not generally one to put these on paper. They aren't specific goals but 3 themes to work on (Organization, Relationships and Faith).

I have been tinkering about making an album just for me, sort of a journal of sorts and this was the perfect way to start it:)

I really love this Shannon! the scrolls make the perfect title and the layered torn paper for your journaling is very pretty.

I should've known better than to do one with a big spot for a photo on it...cuz Wayne won't let me get a "2009" pic of him and I and that's what I wanted there...argh...should I post it without the pic? lol

Go ahead! You can always add the photo after you post the pic. Wink I'd still love to see it.

Meg, there are a lot of elements about this that are neat. The way you used brackets in the corners, the brads with the ribbon pulled through, the stapled ribbon tags, etc. Very nice!

Karen, your design is nice...sometimes simple is better. I like it here!

I'll put mine down. I dont usually do resolutions either but its nice to do some general things:

Be a nicer person in general, esp a nicer wife (non nagging Wink )

Eat a little better.

Get preggo with #2

be better with money

I was hoping to put this in a LO, but I ran out of time. Here are my resolutions:

  • Find and keep a hobby (just starting scrapbooking-so this goal is working out so far!)
  • Put a set amount in my IRA every month
  • Save 25% of my paycheck every month for taxes (I'm self employed and am horrible at this!)
  • Get pregnant with baby #2

Can I just say... all of the above? LOL (well almost, no ttc here!)

I think Meg's page said it best! I want to be the best me I can be, too!
