VC Challenge #1: make something for someone else

With the holidays coming around the corner, I thought this would be a great opportunity to get started on those homemade gifts. The challenge is for you to make something (not limited to scrapping) to give to someone else. Let's see those gift ideas!

make something huh? for someone else? Smile I think I can do this. I want to make some christmas tree decorations for my mom from my daughter. I'd be helping her out though of course. Smile This will be a nice weekend activity for the both of us! Biggrin

GREAT idea Linda!! I just made a gift for my uncle who just received a new baby and will be at my grandfather's wake. Worked very diligently on it to get it done before we left today...too bad I can't add it. Sad Will share later!

I don't like this one at all. ROFL I mean, I do, but I don't think I can do it since I'm so far behind on everything. But we'll see. Wink Love the idea, I really do.

OK, finally. I spent 8+ hours working on this. 2 very late nights.

I was going to make these as Christmas cards for the Grandparents and great grandparents, but I think after it took soooooo long, I will just be making 2. One for my parents and one for DH's parents.

Great job ladies. This one is for me, but I made it as a sample. I'll for sure be making these for the grandmas, possibly Karl's 2 godmothers. They fit into one of the clear sleeves for baseball cards. If anyone wants the dimensions let me know.

What a great idea Shannon, I love those. Melly those do look like they took forever, they are amazing though. All the cards are just amazing on here, I love all the inspiration.

I am currently making an 8x8 scrapbook for my mom's 50th birthday next month. It is an I love grandma book and is essentially a baby book only mostly photos and not really any journalling. I have a few pages made up for this so I figured they could count as one entry in this challenge.

I am beyond inspired by these girls!! Nice work!!:D

Kebrina I have that same paper Smile I love it

Here's the first set of cards I made my Grandma ...making 3 sets of 10 for her Christmas present. Once they are all finished I can better organize what’s in each set.

I made these for my Grandma too….she does the church newspaper each month and really stresses over never having drawings for the cover. I used to always do them for her when I lived on the mainland and went to that church....now she resorts to begging anyone. lol. I made her a year’s worth Smile
