VC Challenge #6 - hybrid

Let's try some hybrid projects - anything you want. Cards might be the easiest, but any new hybrid project is welcome.

For those unfamiliar with hybrid, it combines digital and paper. Most commonly it is done by making the base with digital and then printing it and cutting/pasting to finish it.

Get creative! Find some cute picture and elements or even papers online and print them out to use on your pages/cards. Also, if you look around online, you can often find hybrid projects like bags, tag albums and more.

Your name will go into the drawing for each project you make.

Here are some actual projects I made. They were really easy. I purchased the kit at 3scrapateers and I'm actually working on another one right now.
Box, cards and envelope

Candy wrappers and stickers

There are some cute project here:

Will someone try downloading these and be sure that it is possible? (I have a paid membership there so hard to tell what is open to all)

i have a question...how do you print these things out? i mean for the cards for example...what do you print it on? I have regular paper and I have photo paper but thats it. Not sure of what else I could use to print on? Dont think regular paper would do the trick as it gets kinda weird when glued somewhere... not sure though. I was just wondering about this cuz i have a pretty decent printer and im sure i could make cute cards like that but im not sure what paper i need. thanks

Cards are printed on cardstock. The front of my cards (bunnies) are printed on coverstock (which is lighter than cardstock but heavier than paper); cardstock would work too. The boxes and gift bags are also cardstock. The candy wrappers and cup wrappers are just plain paper.

How fun was this!! It took only minutes to do and I made it hybrid by adding some embellies. Wink

ETA, I got these off of GottaPixel.net. (thanks to Stephanie for the idea)

Here's my try - my very first Card (ever!)

So this is my try - also for the background challenge:

Front:

Inside (our last name blocked out)

Card - I really like how 3-D it looks!

I also used this for the sketch challenge. Smile I printed digital papers as the background for the title (also printed) and the journaling card. Whoo hoo!!!! (I took a picture of my monitor to show how I did it, but it didn't turn out so good )

Trina, that DOES look 3-D! It's great! The letters look like you used popdots on them.

Gwen, I so love this page!

Here's my entry:

The title is word art and the light string is clip art. I added some glitter glue and outlining with a silver pen to jazz it up a bit.

This is my entry. I'm sorry I can't show all their faces. Maybe you guys could just come visit me so you can see what the full pages look like Wink
Oh and I know nothing about digital so I just printed the quote and cupid picture off the internet and I hope that's what I was meant to do. LOL

This wasn't very "hybrid" because all I did was print, cut and glue, but isn't it CUTE?! A little crayon box that took all of 2 minutes to do. Smile My only complaint is I don't have crayons little enough. Maybe I was supposed to make it bigger before printing it? I just printed the file like it came off GottaPixel.

Charys, they are usually designed to be printed at the size created, maybe they used certain crayons, did you check the instructions? They are cute.

Love the card, Jeanette. It turned out adorable!!!!

Loida, such a CUTE card! That was a cool idea to use your "stamp" of the pic on the front.

Charys, the box is cute, but not as cute as Kayson in the background. Smile

Good job Loida! Now go to bed. Hehehehe!!

this is a triple (also for changes and use a tree challenges):
I printed the tree and the text from the computer then glued onto paper. I put the pictures on with pop dots, though that doesn't show on here. This will be the cover page of the new album I am starting. The other one is busting at the seams, and I decided to do a family album from now on, rather than an album that is just DS. Once we run out of room, I will put an end date so it will say "Feb 09- whatever new date"

close up of family tree:
