"A Scrapbook, moreover, is of real value to the inner life of a child. It gives him a feeling of being significant - a feeling which psychologists say is a basic emotional need. It is a truly personal posession, the first and only edition of a life story in the first person"
I was searching Ebay for a baby book (I have kept a baby book in addition to Kayson's scrapbooks since the day he was born) and wanted to find one for this new baby. I looked everywhere on Friday while we were in San Angelo for one and couldn't find one. I went to Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Target, Walmart, Sears, etc. All of those places said they don't carry regular baby books anymore. Just blank scrapbooks! Can you believe it?? Anyways, thank goodness for Ebay....there's hundreds on there! And I came across a real vintage 1940 scrapbook/baby book and it had that quote in the foreward. Awesome huh? I'm going to put that in this new baby's scrapbook. Just had to share.

Great quote. I am going to have to write it down and use it as well.

I had to go to a big chain bookstore for Karl's (Borders or Barnes and noble)
That IS a great quote! How are you feeling with this one BTW?
that is a great quote! I need to write that down somewhere ...
I got all of our baby books at Target ... and I really don't write in them at all. I have journals I keep for each (which I'm now really behind in) and figure one day I'll map the journals to the baby books.
