For those of you who do projects that you mod podge but need water proof (like for outdoors or coasters, etc.), what do you use? i know there are waterproof sprays and other things out there, but i wanted to check with you crafty ladies before i picked. I am planning on doing some of those scrabble tile coasters as a gift for my mom and my grandma (they are scrabble nuts!) Both their birthday are in the fall, so I am planning ahead big time lol!
hmm, I really have no idea. I haven't done anything that needed to be waterproof. Let us know what you decide and how it goes though.
I use an acrylic sealer spray, usually two coats. I haven't had any issues with stuff that I've sprayed, but there's no constant water either (just occasional like with a coaster). The downside is that the sealer STINKS so I let it air out on the deck or garage for a couple of days after spraying.
thanks Gwen...I thought i remembered you or someone else on here using something to protect projects like this. i won't be doing this for a little while, but i wanted to get supplies and my ducks in a row soon.
