    Default What to do???

I am supposed to go to a crop at a local scrapbook store today, but I have a cold. I can't decide what to do. Please be honest... How would you feel if the person beside you had a runny nose and a cough? I feel ok now, not great, I was so looking forward to going, but I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable or sick. What would you do?

I would not mind at all if the person next to me was sick cause I would be so excited and involved with the crop. Plus they give you so much scrapping space that you are not right next to people. Take a dayquill liquid gel before you go. It always gives me energy and makes me feel great till the second it wears off but works like magic for me. Don't know if it is in my head but I think the liquid gel kind works better than the liquid bottle kind. gl

First let me give the disclaimer that I AM OCD! I'm not sure I could scrap with someone that was sneezing and snotting next to me. I would be worried sick that I was going to catch their germs. I doubt I would get one LO done.

I guess you should judge how you feel. Is it the beginning of the cold when you feel so rough or is it just lingering congestion? If you just kinda have a stuffed up nose and its not running all over the place, that would be ok.

Not trying to be ugly but you asked what I would think. Feel better soon!

I have to say I am with Kelly. If someone came and sat next to me coughing and blowing their nose, etc...I would get up and leave. I hate sick germs!

Especially if there are tools provided for shared use.

Honestly, I would probably leave if the person beside me was sick too. I wouldn't be rude about it...I would probably pretend I had to call home and then say they needed me back and sorry I would miss the crop. lol. (I don't like hurting people's feelings)...but I can't handle being around sick people at public stuff...I'd be too worried of catching it and being out of work for our daycare kids.

That's just my opinion though. Whatever you choose to do I hope you feel better soon!

LOL, add me to the OCD list. I'm anal about using hand sanitizer.....like WAAAAY anal. Everyone teases me about it. I made everyone use it on their hands before touching kayson until he was like 6 months old. Poor kid! hahaha. So I'd probably have to get up and leave if someone was coughing next to me. I hope I didn't offend you at all...I was just giving my honest opinion.

I really hope you feel better soon!!!! Sorry you are sick!

OMG I did the same thing with the sanitezer with Tyson! That bottle was at my front door! He was in the nicu though so I was way over protective. I would not even let people smoke outside. I never had smoking inside but my mil would smoke outside before he was born. Well the smell came in from the windows so if anyone who smoked came over I would make them go across the street to smoke lol! What a spaz I was!
