What do you do (photo organization/display)?

I don't want to scrap all of my photos, just the critical ones, but I don't want to store away the excess photos either! I'd like to also keep them in an album, so we can browse through them, but I can't find any albums I like (like the old magnetic pages), other than just scrap booking albums. HELP, please!

What do you do? Do you have any suggestions???

Are you wanting the old magnetic pages or is that all you can find?

Target has a pretty big section of photo albums where you insert the pictures into pockets; they are really cute.

If you're looking for the old magnetic photo albums, I'm sorry i'm not help; i have no idea where to find those.

I want albums that I can stick all sizes of photos onto, like the old magnetic pages, but without the harm of the magnetic pages. I don't like the slip in kind, because of have too many photos of varying sizes from petites to 8x10 or larger. HTH! Thanks!

Here are some websites where you might be able to find what you want.

Will this work? I'm thinking you'll have to get photo corners to keep them in, or tape them. but you can put whatever size you want. It is the traditional dry mount photo albums (top second from the left) http://www.photoalbumshop.com/

Other then this i haven't found anything else. So maybe going with a scrapbook style album will be your best bet if you don't want to use the magnetic pages. HTH Smile

well, I have a scrapbook album for each kid just for the 5x7 and 8x10 pictures. simple pages, basically matted pictures on a background with the month and age of the kiddo. that solved the bigger picture problem for me. all of the rest of the pictures, I use the slip in pocket photo albums. I bought one for each kid (my older two are up to two albums each now though, I print way too many pictures!). This is where I put the pictures I don't use for scrapbooking. the kids LOVE to flip through the albums. my 4 & 6 year olds are interested in scrapbooking now so they have the freedom to use any pictures in their albums on pages they make. I also have an album deemed the "family album" for some extra pictures. this is where I also put pictures sent to me by relatives that I know I will never scrapbook.

I was just thinking about this as well.

Gwen - I like your idea about the slip-in albums for the kids. Morgan is also getting into scrapbooking so that would be perfect for her to choose photos from.

I was wondering what the magnetic photo albums you were talking about! LOL Talk about memories! All of my mom's photo albums are the magnetic kind. Sorry I am of no help, but it looks like Liz got you some good sites to find them.

Oh, now that I think about it. What about like a scrapbook album? W/ the slip in pages (at the top) or page protectors. And use just regular scrapbook paper (like solid colors) and attach your pics to that and slip them in the page protectors. A 8.5x11 book will hold your 8x10 pics just fine as long as you center it on some paper. Do you know what I'm talking about?! LOL
