what I did while snowed in

We got almost 2 feet of snow Friday evening to Saturday morning. Our power went out around 8 or 8:30 Friday night...Saturday while DS was napping, I took the flashlight down to where the craft stuff is (I moved it all except my desk but didn't get to reorganize it yet...darn power outage) and got the supplies to make the Hershey's kisses holders that Kelly (sewgirly) showed us. I sat in the kitchen and crafted 16 of them for DS's valentines to daycare classmates. Here they are...

Thanks Kelly for the inspiration! These were super easy and a great craft for when we had no power! All 16 took me about an hour...and that included going back to the basement with my flashlight twice to get more supplies that I forgot Lol

as a side note, after DS woke up from his nap, we ended up trekking over an hour through some not so great (but not horrible) roads to get to the ILs, where they had power. We just got home this evening...I think our power has been back on since late last night.

Wow, you did a great job on them! I can't believe they only took about an hour to do. The kids are going to love them! And it's not something they'll get from anyone else.

Those are adorable! I remember when Kelly first posted them...so cute!

I'm just glad that your ILs lived close enough for yall to walk over there...would have been no fun for an extended period without power.

Stay warm!

first, I'm jealous. I got a little bit of scrapping done during the snow, but not as much as I wanted. and now all of my kids' Valentines parties are canceled since they closed school all week. ugh. but I'm LOVING Nathan's Valentines, perfect!

I totally agree! There's not many usual names, are there? That is awesome you were able to do that while the power was out!
