This is a good question. I am working on my soon-to-be daughter's first year scrapbook ... and I was thinking about this the other day, what gets put in the books after the first year? I came up with some ideas about more outings - to the zoo, playing at the park, maybe sleepovers at grandparent's, playing with friends, birthday parties ... I think it's more spread out than the first year.

I'm in the same boat as you, with Kaitlyn being the same age ... I plan to just scrap the pictures as I find them funny or compelling, etc .... And there's still lots of milestones you can scrap - first haircut, first babysitter, holidays (Easter, V-day, etc)... you summer boy, spring boy, fall boy (lol all the seasons)...

You can do just general pages too - Mommy's little (big) boy, or pages about certain days when you visit people, or people he knows - like cousins, grandparents, etc ...

Days at the park. Playing in the bathtub. Sleeping in the big kids bed. Playing at school. Play dates. Days at the park. Talking on the phone. Toilet training.

I don't plan pages ahead, I go off of the pictures I have.

Most of my pictures are taken just around the house with Eli being silly. It's the everyday moments that I cherish. Big events are good too, but i love the candid photographs where there isn't a theme...just Eli being Eli Smile

Whenever I think to get my camera out! I like documenting the every day stuff - it is fun to look back on that stuff instead it all just being holidays and vacations.

This is what I do too! Basically I scrap the moments that I want to capture for him and his children. Things I can look back and cherish. A lot of times those are the small things!

I'm with Liz. I am scrapping lots of back pictures right now from my first son's life, and I just have organized them all by year and order to the best of my ability and then am scrapping the ones that I feel like doing. I like having them in order of how he grew. Once I got past one year I have done all x-mas pics for each year, some Easter pages, eating spagetti, just various things. I would just recommend taking pics and then just scrapping the ones that you like. HTH

Same as pp, I just scrap whatever pics I have that are funny or cute, holidays and vacations of course, and some everyday stuff. Favorite toys, games you play together, silly songs you sing together, cute or funny things they say, personality traits that you love about them, etc.

Lately I have been trying to make sure I take pictures of things that I don't want to forget about. Like DS has had a favorite teddy bear for quite a while. It's funny because it was a just a cheap old prize at a carnival. Out of all the toys we bought for him (and spent tons of money on!) for some reason this scruffy teddy bear is his favorite! But I realized last week that I didn't have any pictures of it, or him with it. So I'm making sure that I take one especially for a page.

I jsut scrap what ever I am compelled to like PP. Of course all the important stuff like holidays and whatnot, but also those silly moments, etc.

Like the other ladies said, I scrap based on the pictures I have. There are some things I plan in advance for, such as 18-month doctor visit, 2nd birthday, etc, but a lot of it is pictures playing, friends, important toys, special memories (ie: the fact that she likes to sing Twinkle Twinkle every night). Once in a while, I sit and think about things that I would like to remember about what she is doing now and take a few pictures to help me make a page around that.

I do what all these previous ladies have said... I just scrap pictures I think are cute or that I feel inspired by. Some are milestones or holidays, but some are just darn cute events/pics around the house that I feel are scrap-worthy Wink

I am with Charys and Liz. I do scrap the big moments, like holidays and b-days, but in my opinion, it's the fun little moments that are more fun to scrap!
