What are your favorite adhesives?

So last night I was scrapping at a friends house and I am getting thoroughly frustrated with my adhesives. I tried vellum tape and a glue stick and tacky glue that i had. The tacky glue seems to warp the paper and pictures and the glue stick and vellum tape don't seem to hold well enough.

so i need help

what adhesives do you use for various things that work well and you are happy with?

I just use a double sided tape. I get it at the craft store and they are like 2.99 and it says permanent on the package and i think it holds very well.

I use both the white liquid craft glue for some things and for simple flat paper on paper I use a glue stick. I use the Scotch brand ones. I don't have issues with warping but I also use thick cardstock.

For liquid- Fabritac- get it in the sewing aisle at Walmart. I'm utterly addicted to it. No warping and incredibly strong hold.

I also use the dot runner (re-positional) from Walmart.

I use the adhesive from walmart as well. I really lke it and not to mention it is not as expensive as a lot of other adhesive. I also use some glue dots, and some craft glue from time to time.

i use 3m double-sided tape. a friend gets it for me for .10 a roll because her grandpa used to work for 3m! and it's a good thing i love it!

also, glue dots! they work great for things like chipboard, metal, buttons, etc.

i also really like foam tape to give something a little 3-d look!

I mainly use Pritt Stick or white tacky glue. I have used glue dots for things before and i use foam pads for 3D. Smile

I swear by my dot runners (by Hema Fix). I have one in both permanant and removeable. I could not scrap without them.

I use glue dots for most of my embellishments and ribbon. I use photo corner squares for pics b/c the seem to last a lot longer than the tape runners.

My favorite adhesive is the zig 2 way pens. I use them alot and love them. I keep a fine point and wide pen at all times. They last a long time. And what is go good is you can adhere things right away for a permanent fix and let it turn clear first for a repositional bond.

There is a 3M factory in the town my son goes to school. I wonder if they have discount bins.

In my 11 years of scrapping the best glue stick ever is made by scotch. It is called the wrinkle free glue stick and is so strong it can even hold metal! I buy it at walmart and trust me you will love it!!!!

thanks ladies for all the responses.... i dont know why my glue stick was frustrating me the other night. it's like it would adhere the pics to the page and then 5 minutes later when i would go to put it in the page protector the pic would fall off the mat. So weird!!! But then a couple days later the pic would be held fast onto the mat. I checked the stick itself and it mentioned nothing about non permanent. Think I might be getting some all new adhesive this week....really bites b/c i used to use a stick that they dont make any more so it's all back to the drawing board for me.

I use the ad-tech glue runner for pictures and big items.

I have Scotch liquid glue for little things, but I just got a 5inch Xyron so that I can make stickers out of my cricut cuts and it is much faster than using the liquid glue.

Exactly what Ashley said! But I have just about everything. From double-sided sticky tape, glue dots (in 2 sizes & pop up), snail adhesive, regular tape!, double sided foam (for dimension), 2 way glue (ball point) and my xyron. LOL

I have an adhesive tape gun (otherwise known as ATG) and it is one of the BEST scrapping items I have ever bought. The adhesive is so cheap and it lasts a LONG time. I got my gun and 6 rolls of 36 yards of adhesive for only $38, the gun is a bit expensive but in the long run it really saves a ton of money.

Oh, I forgot to say that for smaller pieces I use a 2 way glue pen by Zig, and for really, really small pieces I use a glue pen that has a tip that is exactly the same as a regular pen, I love that thing but can't remember what it's called.
