    Default where do you scrap?

I have taken a long break from scrapping, and I am itching to get back to it! The reason I stopped is that we don't really have a good place for me to do it and everytime I do I make a huge mess. We are moving into a house very soon though and I will have my own room for my computer and crafts and hobbies, so I can't wait till I can start scrapping again. I still need to make an album with all my honeymoon pictures. I would like to get a huge work table or desk, and I'm looking for ideas. If you have a good one you would reccommend please share it! I just hate clutter and that seems to happen a lot when I try and scrapbook.

I have a corner of the family room that is my desk and a bunch of Target scrapbook squares. it isn't a great space, but it is mine...all mine!

Welcome to our board! Looking forward to knowing you more. I'm from Texas also.

I scrap on our teeny kitchen table. It's a pain, but until we have a bigger house, that's the only room in the house for it. I take all my stuff out (make a huge mess) then put it all away each night I scrap. If I posted a pic you would laugh. I told DH our next house has GOT to have an extra room for crafting/office! Sorry I'm no help.

I was right there with you at a time. I actually gave it up all together for several years because of the space and mess issue. Then I discovered digital scrapping and fell in love with it. Now all I have to have is a place for my computer (in the corner of our dinning room) and that's it. Plus I never have to pick up my mess! It's also been cheaper for me.

I will tell you though, I do miss the 3-D aspect of paper scrapping so I am doing hybrid right now. Which is just digital layouts and then I add an element or two, like a button or bow, once it's printed.

I scrap in our office/guest bedroom. We have an old flat desk and I keep all of my supplies in a file cabinet with a 3 drawer combo on top. When I'm doing a layout I often start piecing on the bed with all of my pics on the desk.

I have a corner in our front room (which is technically the formal living room, but we have small kids, so nothing's formal in out house!). I just have a table and a couple of Sterlite 12"x12" 3-drawer storage organizers and one large 3-drawer rolling cart and a multi-drawer utility cabinet for embellishments on top of the table, plus a few Rubbermaid totes holding completed pages, pages in works, pages to do, etc.

IF I had it my way, I'd like something like these:

Edited to add a photo of my corner:

I would LOVE that 2nd room. That would be awesome!

As for where I scrap...on my kitchen table during nap-time! I have a cabinet in my dining room where I put all my stuff, and I pull it out to scrap. It's a mess, but one day our upstairs will be ready for living and I will MAKE my own room to scrap in! LOL!

oh, I want the room Liz posted!!!

my corner is in the basement guest room. I have a folding card table, a desk, and a wine rack in a corning making my work surfaces. I have a laptop (an old one) and printer (on a tv tray stand). and I have a cool pegboard set up on the wall for a lot of my stuff (that was my Christmas '06 gift from my parents). It's a good space, I'm happy with it for now.
