    Default Windows Vista question

I hope someone knows the answer. I'm having trouble getting my folders to have previews of what is inside showing. I Windows XP, it would should me the most recent items used or added or I could change the preview through properties of the folder.

Now with Vista, some of the folders won't show anything. I go through properties and assign a picture but it still doesn't show. Please help!

I asked about this on a digi-scrap website awhile ago. Here is the thread with all the replies:

Some people said you can't do it, someone else said you have to do something with the thumbnails, and gave a link to microsoft's website.

    HTH!

Apparently it's limited to 400 folders, too - which totally sucks because I have waaaay more than 400 folders (I separate elements & papers in kits, etc).

I just read that it doesn't work on externals so that I can't do it on my external drive!!! Ugh. Windows XP was so much easier.
