So I made my first card...thanks Tia for the idea. I do have a question with what to do with the inside. Here it is... I made a boo boo with the stamp on the white so I covered it with the purple paper and stamped directly on it.
Here is the inside my question is...would you cover the left side of the card with one color to hide the brads or leave it as is?

that's a beautiful card!! and I wouldn't cover the brads, the recipient isn't going to mind seeing them, and the texture on that side is cool.

Wow! That turned out great for your first card. I am sure your mil will love it. I think adding the purple paper was a great "mistake" cause it makes the words pop! I also love how you used textured paper.
As for the brads I would leave them, you can harddly notice them. If they bother you, cut a white mat that is smaller than the inside so the purple paper kinda frames the white.
woah, that's really GREAT for your first card!!! I would just leave the brads peeking through.

Very good for your first card!! I would leave the brads, I usually do anyhow.
