I believe I have just made a piece of crap! I am so disappointed!! I just spent like 3 hours doing these and I just want to start all over again! (I think I will...)
What makes you think so? I really do love the first one! The torn paper in two shades of green at the bottom looks great and so does your tree with apples falling off. But I know how it is when you picture something in your head, then when the page is done, it's nothing like you wanted and so you don't like it. I have a lot of pages like that, but when I post them, everyone seems to like them. Step back from the pages and look at them "fresh" tomorrow. Chances are you'll like them much better! And if you see something you still don't like, you can always change it. One suggestion might be shading the edges of the tree with chalk (if you have it). But other than that, I think they turned out really good.

Personally, I like it. It is simple, but adorable!

I decided to just leave it alone.. after spending so much time on it (those dang apples!!), that it would be a shame to start all over again - especially when I have so many other pictures that need to be scrapped. I guess the thing that I don't like about it is the background leaves... i tried to see how it would look with other paper (plain) - blue, green, yellow, white.. none of them looked right. I hate when you have a great idea but when you go to do it, it just doesn't turn out like you had imagined... frustrating. It may not be "perfect", but I have many years of apple picking photos still to come!
I think it came out cute. I see what you mean about the background leaves. But honestly, I think it looks good just how it is. It looks like it took a lot of work! I know I have pages that I spend a lot of time on, and then I'm not happy with. But like you, I remember that I have a lot more still to do right in front of me (with other pictures), I put my pages in my book, and move on, vowing to do a better page next time.
And worst case scenario, can you peel everything off the background leaves and glue them onto a different (like maybe a cream so there's no real color) background paper? Would that make you happier?
